Hello and welcome to Travelingsters! My name is Maria, and I’m the personality, heart, and storyteller behind this travel space. My journey as a traveler got started long before this blog took shape—back when it was just me, a backpack, and a burning desire to discover the world one country at a time. Born and raised in England, I grew up dreaming of faraway places. As soon as I was sufficiently mature and sufficiently courageous, I set off on my own as a solo traveler, exploring various parts of Asia, Europe, and America. Those early journeys shaped my personality, handed me valuable life lessons, and developed a passion that would stay with me for all time.

Going somewhere alone wasn’t just a hobby for me. It was a way of discovering myself. I strolled through ancient streets in Europe, discovered peace in the temples of Asia, and felt the energetic rhythm that runs across the Americas. With every new country, I grew a little more confident, independent, and motivated. Solo travel gave me patience, toughness, and the beauty of getting outside what is normal for me. It also helped me understand the little things that make every destination unique—the flavors, the stories, the people, and the traditions that leave a lasting impression.

Important About Us (How I Met Adams & Started a New Journey)

Everything in life changed magnificently when I met Adams, the man who eventually became my husband. Our story started in New York, where I happened to be exploring the city as part of one of my solo journeys. What started as a short discussion between two strangers quickly turned into something much deeper. Adams, an American born and raised in Mandarin, Florida, understood my love for exploring new places and adventures. After our marriage in 2016, I moved to Mandarin, and we started establishing our life together in his lovely hometown.

For a while, my travels slowed down. Marriage brought new responsibilities, routines, and a different pace of life. Though my heart still longed for adventures beyond the horizon, I chose to pause and focus on adjusting to a new lifestyle. But Adams always knew how much traveling meant to me. He understood that it wasn’t just something I enjoyed—it was a part of who I am. Eventually, he encouraged me to start exploring again, and slowly, our journeys began to take a new shape. Instead of traveling solo, I was now exploring the world with someone who shared my dreams.

As time passed by, our family grew. Today, we are proud parents of three lovely kids, who bring unimaginable happiness, energy, and curiosity into our everyday lives. With them, traveling took on an entirely new importance. Every trip we take as a family is filled with laughter, discovery, and a sense of bonding that only adventure can create. Watching the world through our children’s eyes has reawakened us to the beauty we occasionally disregard as adults.

Why We Created Travelingsters

Traveling as a family is quite different compared to traveling alone—but in the most pleasant possible way. Our children have shown us how to calm slow down, enjoy the little things, and find happiness in places that we might have ignored before. Whether it’s their attraction with a simple street performer, their joy at trying a new dish, or their countless questions about various cultures, every moment becomes a memory. Going on trips together has made our adventures more rewarding, more significant, and more fulfilling than we ever imagined.

During one of the trips we took, a simple question popped into my mind: “We love traveling so much—why not help others do the same?” Over the years, I’ve met many individuals who feel overwhelmed when planning their vacations. They have trouble selecting the right place for vacation, planning activities, setting up a budget, or knowing how to make the most of their vacations. I discovered that my years of experience—from solo travel to family adventures—could actually assist others in having safer, happier, and more enjoyable holidays.

That question set the foundation for what was to later become Travelingsters.

We established Travelingsters as a forum in which we can share our personal observations, honest recommendations, and lessons that we’ve learned through both mistakes and unforgettable experiences. This platform is more than a travel guide—it’s a heartfelt project in which we hope to motivate tourists, families, couples, and solo adventurers to explore the world with confidence and excitement.
